B-Cycle is a bike-sharing program in Houston that offers residents, commuters and visitors a choice of ecological and economical transport, ideal for short trips and resulting in fewer vehicle miles traveled, less pollution and congestion, better mobility and more personal health and wellness.
There are two carshare programs in the Houston area, Enterprise CarShare and Zipcar.
Zipcar is a car-sharing company (subsidiary of Avis Budget Group) specializing in providing on-demand mobility through application-based technologies for people trying to get around their cities in more sustainable ways.
Houston’s Energy Corridor District has teamed up with Enterprise CarShare and the Houston Galveston Area Council to incentivize alternate modes of transportation with the district’s employers and employees.

METROLift is a shared-ride public transit service. Travel times and the timeliness of service are comparable to fixed-route bus service.
